Pamela Harms

With over twelve years experience working as a title examiner and reader at some of Long Island’s leading title insurance companies, Pam enjoys applying the knowledge gained there to the oftentimes complex title matters taken on by the law firm of Nica B. Strunk PLLC.

“Title research is a highly specialized field that combines attention to detail with an eye toward history, as you attempt to unravel the intent behind what are often decades-old conveyances. I love tracing the history of a property by performing a detailed title search. It is often time-consuming and sometimes boring, but the results can make it very worthwhile.”

Besides assisting the law firm in her specialty area of title research, Pam also assists in all phases of the law firm operation by providing support to the attorneys, from performing other types of research, to providing document control and analysis, and supporting operations to help the office run smoothly. Pam assists clients by providing regular contact and updates, helping to manage the discovery process, maintaining the case calendar and deadlines, and drafting affidavits, stipulations, and letters. She also maintains document production and the client case file, and is integral in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials.

A true native of Long Island, Pam was born and raised in Huntington, and currently lives in Patchogue. Pam developed her love for Long Island beaches while growing up in Huntington, where she first learned to swim on the pebbly beaches of the North Shore. From those humble beginnings, she earned a swimming scholarship to George Washington University, where she lettered all four years, graduating in 1986 with a B.A. in Journalism, and a minor in American Literature.

In 2002, she completed the Briarcliffe College Paralegal Certificate program, and has been working in the real estate title/law field since. She is also a Licensed New York State Notary Public.
